Bhoot Bangla Movie Review: Hype vs Reality

Bhoot Bangla started with massive expectations — and honestly, why wouldn’t it? With a strong star cast including Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav, along with direction by Priyadarshan, the film had all the ingredients of a blockbuster.

However, despite such a promising setup, the execution tells a completely different story.

A Promising Start… That Fades Quickly

Initially, the film opens with international scenes that create curiosity. Naturally, it feels like something fresh and exciting is about to unfold.

However, as the story shifts to India, the narrative starts losing direction. Instead of building suspense or delivering humor, the film keeps you waiting — for a laugh, for a scare, or at least for something meaningful.

First Half: Confusion Over Content

To be honest, the first half feels extremely confusing. On one hand, it tries to be funny; on the other, it attempts horror.
